Baseball version: The Hunger Games is a deep fly ball that goes off the wall for an RBI double as opposed to a two run home run.
Translation: The Hunger Games comes pretty darn close to being a really great, maybe even a truly special film, but ends settling in the good to very good range. It’s still a quality film, I just wish it was better.
